This Spring we helped save some paws by raising over $16,000 for PROJECT Save Them ALL; a 501(c)(3) that gives money to help provide food, medicine, shelter, and money to ethical no-kill animal shelters and rescues. Ran by 3 friends who used to scrape money together to give to the animals….they decided to got for it and make the biggest difference they can. We couldn’t be happier to help the cause
Charity Fundraising
Fundraisers Moving Forward
Hey Everyone…. well it’s happened. I’ve done a few successful fundraisers which I love to do and find great rewards in. I now find my inbox flooded with requests to do a fundraiser.
I’ve gotten a few requests to raise for large organizations such as St. Judes, Shrinersย Hospital, etc. Those charities are HUGE. Not that we can’t make a difference I feel that what we raise is a HUGE impact to small charities vs a penny to big Charities. Don’t get me wrong, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital is a fantastic charity where 82% of every dollar goes to benefit. They are SO big they had $7.6BILLION in reserves when other small local charities were struggling to raise any funds.
Here is what I’ve decided to do for Chasing Bourbon; We’ll do fundraisers for 2 charities and alternate- Saving Paws and Saving Veterans. Two causes everyone can see value in.
Ideally, we’ll do 2 a year; just understand that the “grand prize” for these has to come from somewhere and that may spread out the timing. I’m looking at alternative ways to fundraise with rare &/or hard-to-get picks where the “over” SRP would go to the charity….there are some logistical hurdles to those initiatives
Here is to a great 2023 and raising money with Bourbon for great causes
Veteran’s Suicide Prevention
FINAL GRAND TOTALย $17,040 !!
You all are so incredible!! I appreciate all of you so much. Wow. Just WOW, I’m floored.
As I’m preparing for this fundraiser I find it incredibly fortuitous that this is beginning just a few days after 9/11. The event that rocked the US and began many, many years of military involvement overseas and our loved ones being sent to fight the war on terrorism.
Post-war trauma is not new to our country and with 4 times as many suicides coming after 9/11,ย some say this single event has changed the face of how we view post-war with our loved ones.
While Veteran Suicide rates have decreased in some years, 2021 saw 4.6% more suicides according to the Department of Defense CYSR 2021 (calendar year suicide report).
This is why we’re here – to contribute to a cause that seeks to aid those vets facing challenges while on active duty or after active duty in order to move the needle in the right direction.
Who Does This Benefit?
Your Donations go directly to Home Runs For Vets. Home Run’s For Vets is a 501(c)(3) that holds softball tournaments to give veterans a sense of camaraderie as they face and resolve struggles after serving our country. These Tournaments not only provide the Veteran with a community to be part of; they also raise money for suicide prevention.
Home Runs For Vets is a 100% volunteer-run organization and 100% of the proceeds go directly to suicide prevention initiatives like retreats and prevention centers

Fundraising for Down’s Syndrome
FINAL TOTAL RAISED $4,440
Yet, none of those guys were able to secure an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Single Barrel pick; HUH???
I don’t think I can ever adequately show my appreciation for them and their role in helping us get access to killer barrels.
For those who don’t know they have an incredible child with Down Syndrome and Down Syndrome Network Oregon is a charity they support and rally behind for the cause as well as how crucial Down Syndrome Network Oregon has been for their family
Hi Brian,Oh my, your fundraising on behalf of DSNO has honestly brought me to tears. The evening Tiffany texted me that you had initiated this effort, I sat there in awe as I watched the donation alerts pour in. I am not only moved by the monetary generosity, but by the fact that these are folks who aren’t even associated with our organization! People who just want to be incredibly kind and creatively give back to their community. There aren’t words to express my gratitude, just know I would love to give each and every one of you a hug! Please go into your day knowing that your generosity is appreciated and will be used to bring families together for connection, support and likely a very good time!Tiffany Morgan”
